A little history...

Founded in 1986 by Mr. André Longpré, the company has known a great popularity in its field of business from its beginning. Using composite materials, our construction methods offer great flexibility which has always allowed us to beat the competition. Throughout the years, our knowledge and skills have quickly propelled us on the telecom and industrial market as well as into the custom made specialized parts manufacturing business. Moreover, our short delivery schedules combined with a great capability to adapt have made Les Bâtiments BUT Limited a well-known reliable company.

Acquisition of MNG Plastics

In July 2002, Les Bâtiments BUT Limited acquired MNG plastics, a fibreglass shelter manufacturer of Renfrew, Ontario which has been in the fibreglass business for over 25 years. With this new acquisition, Les Bâtiments BUT Limited can now offer a wide variety of by-products such as dome, radomes, reflectors, wind turbine nacelle, sonar casing, etc.

A new beginning...

On January 16th, 2008, a devastating fire took down the plan located in Mont-Tremblant completely. Immediatly, the entire team joined in a common effort to help the company start over. Thanks to its dynamic and involved employees, the company was able to relocated in the industrial park of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts and re-opened at the end of February.

Instead of letting this unfortunate event take us down, we took advantage of this new beginning to equip the new plan with up-to-date equipment and tools keeping a step ahead on the market. Moreover, by resettling in a bigger and more efficient plan, the company was able to increase its production capacity, add new products such as custom made galvanised steel components while offering a more convenient and safer work environment to its workers.

Throughout the years, we have built a solid experienced team made of some forty employees devoted to customer satisfaction. All of them have acquired a complete expertise in both non-combustible fiberglass shelters with steel structure and by-products construction.

Moreover, the efficiency of our consultant department and the reliability of our production team will ease the development and the making-out of your project.

Our production capacity

With now more than 2 600 sq.m. (33 000 sq.ft. ) of production space, we manufacture all our shelter on site and take care of the preparation and installation of all the required services (electricity, air conditioning, cable tray, steel structure).

Our in-house welding workshop allows us a greater autonomy in the manufacturing of various steel components.

Part of our weekly production is also dedicated to the fabrication of custom made fibreglass parts such as radome, cabinets, reflector dish, stealth radome for antenna, wind turbine nacelle enclosure, sonar casing, etc.
